Opening the Parent area

Most settings live in the Parent area. In the library, tap the gear button at the bottom right and answer the grown-up question. Inside you will find Readers, Reading, Settings and Account.

Restoring purchases

• Make sure the device is signed in with the Apple ID you used to buy Premium.
• Open the plans: tap a locked book, or go to Parent area, Account, See plans.
• Tap Restore purchases. Premium opens again on this device.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPad or iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Drawtale. You can also get there from Parent area, Account, Manage subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to stop the next renewal. Premium stays open until the period you paid for ends.

For a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple.

Changing the language

Go to Parent area, Settings, Language, and pick one of the nine languages: English, Türkçe, Español, العربية, Deutsch, Русский, Français, Italiano or Português. The app and the stories switch at once.

Reading and voice settings

• Reading speed and the narrator's volume: Parent area, Settings.
• Turn pages by itself and Follow the words: Parent area, Settings, Narration.
• Text size and gentle hints for touchable things: Parent area, Settings, Content.
• Music, page sounds and background sounds each have their own volume.
• While reading, the settings button at the top right has text size, reading speed, page turning and following the words. The music and sound buttons beside it switch those on and off.
• Where a recorded voice is not available, the device's own voice reads the page.

Reminders

Turn the story time reminder on or off, and pick its time, in Parent area, Settings. If no reminder arrives, check that notifications for Drawtale are allowed in the device's Settings.

Resetting or deleting data

Everything Drawtale keeps (readers, progress, stickers, coloring and settings) is stored on the device. To remove a single reader, go to Parent area, Readers. To remove everything, go to Parent area, Account, Delete account. This cannot be undone.

Deleting the app also removes all of its data. Premium is not lost: restore it with the same Apple ID.
